What was the highlight of Quinta La Huerta Hotel
A quirky hotel experience I won’t soon forget
Walking into the property in the dark, my guests all gasped when the lights turned on. It was rather unexpected and surreal, and not where I would have booked, and not where I would have booked had I known this was a Christmas village. It was a quirky experience but one we will never forget. My guests were laughing still, after we left, - the ultimate take-away is that they loved it. Of all hotels I’ve stayed in here, this hotel was the cleanest and the warmest. The beds are very comfortable, the water is hot and has good pressure, the bathrooms are brand new and so clean (a huge priority for many), they have a coffee pot in the room, and the rooms are spacious. Also unusual, this hotel is completely wheelchair accessible, and the floors are all even in the rooms (the bathroom is level with the rest of the space, so no tripping hazards or surprises in the dark). Lastly, breakfast was fabulous. All of my guests thoroughly enjoyed their meals, and the attention was professional and efficient. Overall, a job well done and a hotel I would recommend and return to, even when it isn’t Christmas.
i really wish they would put extra, warm blankets in the cupboards. i robbed the second bed, as did one other guest who was sleeping solo. Tlalpujahua is cold, and after being on the road all day, warm blankets would make the value and comfort even better. This has been the case with every hotel I have stayed at in Tlalpujahua, and many reviews mention this. something so simple would go a long way to making guests comfortable and warm.

Gorgeous place with friendly staff
The property was really nice and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was perfect, with a lot of space, a great view and all the amenities.
Not the fault of the property but it's very cold there now! Make sure to bring warm pajamas and thick socks for the room. However, there were as many extra blankets as you wanted so that was great. Also, have to send in a deposit by bank transfer beforehand which is a bit of a hassle, especially as a credit card is given for that exact purpose when booking.
